It is About Sharing

Knowledge is for sharing. Do not keep your knowledge to yourself alone. Let it grows. The more you share, the more you learn and in the end you become a better person.

Identifying symptoms of stroke

I received email on identifying the symptoms of stroke. I am not a neurologist, so I do not know whether this is true or not but I think even if it is not true, it does not cause any harm by sharing this information. Please read and if you find it worth reading, please forward it to others.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim
within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a
stroke... totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke
recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient
medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the
"3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The
stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when
people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke .

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke
by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.
T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE
(Coherently) i.e. It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks,
call 999/911 immediately and describe the
symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke ------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person
to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked',
if it goes to one side or the other , that is also an
indication of a stroke.

Salam, En.Rozaimi.

I'm just a student from uitm with little experience and knowledge but i'm not just another "muslim". i'm proud of being one and i'm trying my best to adhere to all the Islamic teachings based on the Quran and As-sunnah.

anyway, what i want to say might be petty from your point of view but i need to let it out.
thank you, for commenting on marina mahathir's post regarding the khalwat-non-muslim-blablabla post and replying to the liberal comments made.
i hope you continue to spread the TRUE word of Islam like you do because without people like you, our aqidah is hanging on the line because of liberals like that!! masyaAllah. akal saya susah nak terima macam mana people can live and so-called SPEAK for ISLAM when they deny the quran and sunnah! how can they live a life like that??

may Allah help you always.
salam.

Thanks Tina. I must admit that I also do have a very limited knowledge about Islam. I am not an ustaz but as I stated in my profile, I was a supposed-to-be ustaz. With my little knowledge, I want to, as best as possible, try to correct the mistakes made by others. That is the least that I can do. As the prophet pbuh said in his hadith, "addinun nasihah".

Like it or not, nowadays, people with the true knowledge of Islam are not given the space to speak up. Look at what happened to the late Mufti Selangor, Allahyarham Dato' Ishak Baharom and also Mufti of Perak, Dato' Harussani (who was slammed after commenting on the joint celebration (deeparaya and kongsi raya) with the non-muslim). On the other hand, people who like to interpret Islam to suit their own way or to please certain parties are given the space to talk about Islam though sometimes, they talk rubbish. This is the world that we are living in.
